This is a fantastic vintage piece featuring “Broadway Joe” Namath in his early New York Jets years. Namath was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985, and the 1966 Topps card is his important second-year issue.

The 1966 Topps Football set is notorious for condition challenges, particularly because of its distinctive brown wood-grain borders, which PSA notes made high-grade examples difficult to acquire.

Why the PSA 2? We honestly aren't sure. The card presents exceptionally well for the grade, so prospective buyers should carefully examine the high-resolution scans and judge the condition for themselves. The PSA 2 designation should be considered when evaluating the card, but the visual presentation is considerably stronger than the grade might suggest.
